Kim Kardashian West is on her journey to becoming a lawyer herself, but until she gets there, she’s seeking out an attorney to help her protect her new born baby boy, Psalm West’s name. It seems that only a few days after her son was born on the 9th of May, 2019, via surrogacy, his celebrity and beauty mogul mother set out to file a trademark application for his name “Psalm West.” This seems like quite an odd thing to have done for a new born baby, but Kim Kardashian is out with a mission and we expect that she won’t sit till this case gets processed.
The question arises as to why she’s set out to do this. It seems that the case that Kim Kardashian is filing addresses any and all potential business ventures that her new born son may take up in the future. It also covers any trademark items such as hair accessories, calendars, books, magazines, clothes, and more, including as well: baby products such as strollers, diaper bags and swaddling blankets. The indication in this is that Kim Kardashian is looking to protect her son who may go on to create his own empire just the way his parents did and the way all the Kardashian sisters did as well.
More on the baby, we do know that Kim K has been gushing over how adorable and perfect he is. On announcing his birth, she said to her social media followers that “He’s here and he’s perfect!” She shared this as a caption under a photo of her new born son who was welcomed via a surrogate, weighing in at a healthy 6 pounds and nine ounces. This announcement wasn’t made as soon as the baby arrived, but just over a week later on the 17th of May, along with the official announcement of the baby’s name as well.
Kim Kardashian’s announcement post wasn’t an actual photo, but a screenshot of the actual photo being sent to her in a text conversation from her rapper husband, Kanye West. Their son, Psalm West, is pictured sleeping in his crib soundly in the photograph. On this, she wrote “Beautiful Mother’s Day with the arrival of our fourth child we are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need.” She also added the baby’s official name to the post, adding the words “Psalm West” to the caption.
