So, on the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the coming up next portion at the end of the episode showed a clipping from the upcoming episode where Kris Jenner speaks with Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian about Scott Disick’s Instagram. It appears that Scott Disick made a post in December where he shared a photo in which he’s sitting in between Kourtney, the mother of his children and ex, and current girlfriend, Sofia Richie, from a family vacation that the three went on with Kourtney and Scott’s three children: Mason, Penelope, and Reign.
So the conversation goes a little like this. Kris Jenner first says in a confessional clip after seeing the photo shared on Instagram:
Kourtney, Scott and Sofia on vacation together. What is happening?”
She adds in utter shock that:
Why in the world would she feel the need to go on vacation with Scott?”
Kim then tries to explain that perhaps Kourtney wanted some quality family time with the kids on vacation, but this doesn’t hit home with Kris Jenner as she continues saying that:
My fear is that she can’t make up her mind. She can’t pick a paint color — that takes months. I’m just saying, because of her indecisiveness, it’s going to bite her in the ass. And she’s going to be the one deciding way too late that she is in love with Scott and wants to spend the rest of her life with Scott … somebody is going to end up getting really hurt in this scenario.”
Heading back to the confessional, Kris Jenner throws in some words from her own experience where she shares that it took her several years to get past her divorce with the Robert Kardashian, the father of Kourtney, Kimberly, and Khloe. They eventually became “the best of friends” but she explained nonetheless that:
I know a thing or two about being friendly with your ex and coparenting, but it’s still incredibly challenging, so I worry that somebody’s going to get hurt.”
Digging deeper into the history of this love triangle, Kourtney and Scott have been dating off and on for 12 years, in the span of which they had their three children: Mason, 9, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 4. They officially parted ways in the summer of 2015 after which Scott got caught up in massive drinking and behavioral problems and Kourtney had to push him further away for the sake of her own emotional health and their children.
The two shared a rocky year from then on as Kourtney didn’t want to distance him from her children’s lives but then, in 2017, reports emerged that Scott Disick was seen with now girlfriend Sofia Richie and speculation started. The two have since been together and Sofia has kept Scott grounded. He’s in a happy place and happy with his relationship and now-much-better relationship with Kourtney as the mother of his children as well.
A source shared that Sofia and Scott see one another as true life partners, so the road on which they’re walking is bound to lead to something permanent. The source also added that Sofia is entirely okay with Scott’s relationship with Kourtney and that she would never do anything to pull Scott away from his family and Kourtney. That’s a good sign moving forward for the couple. Kourtney even said about Sofia after their vacation that Sofia is “easy to be around.”
Several teases in this season’s promos prior to the airing of the first episode have teased at Kourtney and Scott discussing not giving one another mixed signals and having a healthy relationship. Scott even went on a family trip to Bali with Kourtney and the Kardashians where he and Kourtney met a psychic who told them that they were soul mates bound to find one another in every life.
Let’s see how it unfolds for now single Kourtney Kardashian. Is she truly happy for Sofia and Scott, leaving them alone without any burning sparks with Scott or will she realize that he’s who she wants in hopes of him returning to her?
