Kim Kardashian recently came off of a high of some really good products that the world is both excited to use and also grateful that somebody went through the effort of creating something truly useful. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star drastically shifted her focus from luxury products to ones that truly play an integral role in making different kinds of people feel beautiful and confident at all times.
First, the beauty mogul worked on making contouring and basic makeup applications simple for all so that they can highlight and shape their most beautiful features for confidence. Then, the KKW Beauty creator who herself suffers from a paralyzing degree of psoriasis came out with a skin perfecting body foundations line that covers up scars and psoriasis skin imperfections specifically which was a hit for so many women around the world who were able to cover up marks on their bodies and revel their arms and legs again without feeling conscious about the marks.
With that massive success under her belt, Kim Kardashian has now moved on to releasing her own clothes wear line, which is nothing new except for the fact that this time she’s focusing heavily on shapewear, another practical and useful product the world could use and praise her for. Instead of calling it shapewear, the star as opted to go with the title “Solutionwear” as that’s the purpose it’s made to serve. The product ranges in sizes from XXS to 4XL and comes in 9 different skin shades. On the topic of the line, Kim said on Twitter:
Finally I can share with you guys this project that I have been developing for the last year. I’ve been passionate about this for 15 years. Kimono is my take on shapewear and solutions for women that actually work. I would always cut up my shapewear to make my own styles, and there have also been so many times I couldn’t find a shapeware color that blended with my skin tone so we needed a solution for all of this.”

Showing off one particular product, a pair of high rise and mid-thigh length shorts, she called it the “solution short,” saying:
I developed this style for all of those times I wanted to wear a dress or skirt with a slit and still needed the support.”
Fellow model and loved super star, Chrissy Teigen, responded to this saying
Oh my god I don’t have to cut one side of my spanx anymore!!!!!” the famous foodie tweeted back.”
That all said, we’re excited and hyped for the release but an official launch date has not been announced as of yet. In the meanwhile, though, Kim has received a lot of backlash for calling her solution wear like “Kimono,” that being dubbed as cultural misappropriation. One user took to Twitter to say:
Nice underwear, but as a Japanese woman who loves to wear our traditional dress,👘 kimono, I find the naming of your products baffling (since it has no resemblance to kimono), if not outright culturally offensive, especially if it’s merely a word play on your name. Pls reconsider

Kim Kardashian, insists, nonetheless that even though she chose to trademark that name for her line, it does not “preclude or restrict anyone, in this instance, from making kimonos or using the word kimono in reference to the traditional garment.” In addition to that, she argues that the intent of her clothing line is never to “design or release any garments that would in any way resemble or dishonor the traditional garment.”
