Bella Thorne recently announced that she is a pansexual and doesn’t define love based on gender or sexual identity.
Pansexuality or omnisexuality is the sexual or emotional attraction towards someone, regardless of their gender. Pansexual people mostly refer to themselves as gender-blind, i.e. gender plays no role in choosing their significant other.
The 21-year-old actress has always been an open book- often sharing details of her personal matters and day to day life. In 2016, she defined herself as bisexual. However, recently announced that wasn’t the case.
While on Good Morning America on Monday morning, Thorne revealed that she is pansexual. The singer said, “I’m actually a pansexual, and I didn’t know that,” she said, further explaining the term. “You like beings. You like what you like. Doesn’t have to be a girl, or a guy, a he, a she, a they, or this or that. It’s literally… you like personality. You just like a being. Doesn’t really matter what’s going on. If I just like it, I like it!”
The former Disney star was previously dating Tana Mongeau – a YouTube personality, and Mod Sun – rapper. The three tried to make it work but split up after a year due to certain circumstances. Tana and Bella ended it in February, and in April, Mod Sun and Bella split up.
The relationship seems to have ended on bad terms with the rapper, as evident by a recent argument between the two. However, Bella and Tana have managed to keep their breakup cordial. She wrote, “I love you tana happy bday you beautiful beautiful special girl”.
Pansexual or bisexual, the 21-year-old is focusing on herself and prioritizing things that make her feel good. The actress is on her way to release her book, Life of a Wannabe Mogul: Mental Disarray. She said, “That’s definitely when I feel most happy,” she said. “So I feel I have to go more towards that, cause I like … I like being happy.” Good for her!
