The whole process of writing the album starting in 2015, then recording it in 2016, promoting it, setting out on the road to play it for all of you guys. It’s so weird to put it to bed and move on. Thank you to everyone involved in this whole Divide process, all the people who helped make the album, all the people who helped promote the album, all the fans who listened and came to watch, this wouldn’t be possible without you. Most of all I want to thank my fantastic touring team, who have given up their lives for 2 and a half years to help me achieve my dreams. Thank you for all of your hard work and constant friendship. The Divide tour – 2017 -2019. Officially the biggest tour of all time, so weird to say that, and we survived it !
With the fortune in his pocket, the A Team singer has retired and is looking forward to spending some quality time with his new bride, Cherry Seaborn.
The couple initially met in 2002 –they went to high school together – but went their own separate ways. They reunited in 2015 and so began their romance. Seaborn later accompanied Sheeran on his Multiply tour in 2016, giving him the chance to “fall in love properly”.
The two got engaged in December 2017 and Sheeran announced the news on his Instagram, saying, “Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx”. The couple wed in a small ceremony in 2018, at Seaborn’s family church in Suffolk.
Sheeran was recently in a court case where after being sued by Sam Chokri for stealing the chorus from his 2015 song, “Oh Why”, for the famous “Shape of You”. Royalties from the song have been blocked and are pending a court order. No further updates on the case are available yet.
