With the ongoing pandemic, the world is in an uncertain place and hearing that an alien life form exists might not he that much of a surprise. Science fiction writers have repeated the concept of UFOs a dozen times in various depictions and we know what to expect!
Research on UFOs is common in the US and there have been various incidents during the 20th century where the concept of extraterrestrial life became nearly true. Hollywood thrived on the concept of aliens reaching the earth through supposed ‘flying saucers’ otherwise known as UFOs. In actuality though, despite decades of researching, proof of UFO sightings are close to down. Most research turned out be a hoax or a mere myth. While a significant amount of tracing has been left unexplained by the authorities.
In today’s age, the US Department of Defense, also known as Pentagon has released a set of three videos of raw footage where apparently US Naval Pilots are seen collapsing into supposed UFOs. The Pentagon has quoted that this incident is an “unexplained aerial phenomenon”. The videos were taken in 2004 and 2015 but the Pentagon has just released it this Monday.
However, these videos were released by The Pentagon officially to address the public’s concerns. Out of 3, 2 of these videos have been published by the New York Times in 2017. The Pentagon had confirmed the legitimacy of the videos in September 2019 and has since released the three unclassified videos mentioned. After an “apparent thorough review” and “to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos.”
“After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems,” said Pentagon spokesperson Sue Gough in a statement, “and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena.”
If we go into a detailed explanation of the videos, the video from 2004 exhibits that an object 40 feet long is hovering about 50 feet above the water, according to the New York Times. Both other videos from 2015 exhibit a similar trait where it can be seen that two strange objects are moving in a fast pace, one racing above the water, another rotating in mid-air. (the videos were released after unauthorized leaks in 2007 and 2017, CBS News reports.)
The Pentagon releasing such an odd yet fascinating footage has caught the eyes of politicians as well. Former Senate Majority leader, Harry Reid has tweeted in favor of the Pentagon, citing that he appreciates the Pentagon releasing such raw footage to the American public but it needs to further research these apparent UFOs and further evaluate any security concerns.
I’m glad the Pentagon is finally releasing this footage, but it only scratches the surface of research and materials available. The U.S. needs to take a serious, scientific look at this and any potential national security implications. The American people deserve to be informed. https://t.co/1XNduvmP0u

Despite numerous scientific breakthroughs throughout the years, our president still doesn’t give it a second thought. President Trump has criticized such research as ‘pointless’ on numerous occasions and when he was once asked to address unidentified objects, he said that he doesn’t buy the hype around the unidentified objects.
“I did have one very brief meeting on it,” Trump said in an ABC News interview in 2019. “But people are saying they’re seeing UFOs. Do I believe it? Not particularly.”
