Hartley Sawyer, former recurring actor in The Flash and current at the latest season has been found in immense trouble after a serious of problematic tweets of his surface online.

Hartley Sawyer will not be returning for Season 7 of The Flash,” according to a joint statement provided to Deadline from Warner Bros. TV, The CW, Berlanti Productions and executive producer Eric Wallace. “In regards to Mr. Sawyer’s posts on social media, we do not tolerate derogatory remarks that target any race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, or sexual orientation. Such remarks are antithetical to our values and policies, which strive and evolve to promote a safe, inclusive and productive environment for our workforce.”

Since then, Sawyer has deleted his Twitter account but nothing goes away from the internet once you post it. At a time when there’s a nationwide protest in support of Black Lives, everyone who’s a racist or a homophobe is being not only called out but humiliated in a way that there’s no career if you’re problematic.

The actor’s insensitive tweets were posted far before him starring in The Flash. Screenshots of years old tweets are lurking online and one of his tweet read as, “The only thing keeping me from doing mildly racist tweets is the knowledge that Al Sharpton would never stop complaining about me.”

Other than his racist behavior, the CW actor proudly tweeted about how he gaslighted girls during auditions in 2014.

It is definitely clear that Hartley shall not he returning for The Flash’s season 7 this fall. The executive producer of the had a few comments through a tweet over this fiasco:

Sawyer joined The Flash in 2017 as Ralph Dibny, aka Elongated Man. He was a recurring character in seasom 5 and it didn’t take long for the fans to appreciate him, being a regular was inevitable after that. Coincidentally his character was shown as someone with mild misogynistic characteristics, Ralph was showed frowning upon his acts though. Quite similar to his real life persona, hilariously.

For now, it’s unclear when ‘The Flash’ shall be returning back to television because of COVID-19 but it’s clear that Hartley Sawyer won’t be a part of it.
